Noehands Concert - European Spruce with Acacia

Brand new, built November 2023. Noehands Concert ukulele, made with European Spruce with Acacia (from Brazil) back and sides. Adorned with premium features such as abalone appointments, as gold tuners, ebony fretboard, bindings and purfling and French polished with shellac. The playability is superb, the neck profile is very thin, so easy to hold and the action is very low making any barred chords easy.

In terms of sound, European spruce also known as German spruce, is known to produce a clear, bright and well-balanced sound with excellent projection. This particular piece is yet to age and over time will develop more complex tonal qualities and will improve with age! Paired with Acacia which is known to off a warm, rich, and resonant sound - it’s a match made in heaven. It sounds big for its size, doesn’t sound like a typical Concert and if blindfolded it could be mistaken as Tenor size.

Noehands ukuleles built by luthier Eduardo dos Santos Bettu from Bahia Brazil, started building over 10 years ago, he always had a passion at creating things, consistently curious of why and how things worked.  Over the years he was exposed to many arts throughout Brazil and through his travels he discovered his love for music.  Intrigued by many different instruments, the music they produced but most of all how they were constructed, this is when Eduardo’s passion for building started. The very first ukulele he built was from scraps of materials and leftover wood from carpentry, made with simple tools a simple instrument was constructed, today this very ukulele belongs to one of the greatest musicians in the history of Brazil.
